1. BBC Project
We strive to create the best quality and true to life film we can. The quality of a film is very important, it can make the difference between an ok film and a great film. We are pleased to say that we have recently taken part in a 'live' training project with the BBC. Training was undertaken while producing an educational film for a national conservation charity. The project was to produce a 'Green Energy' dvd for information for the National Trust. Being part of this has ensured that, to The Rural Film Company, the quality of the final product is of the utmost imprtance alongwith factual and interesting information.
We are currently working on two local projects. Once these are completed you will be able to purchase the films from our 'Products' page.
2. BE PART OF OUR NEXT PRODUCTION?
We are looking for people to be part of our next production. One of the projects we are currently working on is 'The Rural Lives of Northumberland'. This will feature the people of rural Northumberland and their daily lives. Depending on what you do, this could mean we would spend one day with you filming, or perhaps one day a month over several months. The rural life is alive with a diversity of people and interests. There is nothing boring about the rural community.
The farmer for example, his daily life is dependent upon the seasons and we would take footage over the seasons.
The final dvd will be a film showing the diversity of the lives in the rural community whether that be farmer, furniture restorer, fisherman, pest controller, deerstalker, waller or one of the many other professions in the community.
If you think you would have something to contribute and to give others an understanding of who the Northumbrian is and how we live then please get in touch, or perhaps you know someone you think could be part of it?
You may think 'who would be interested in what I do?'. You would be surprised at how many people there are who have very little knowledge of the real rural life and who would find your life very interesting.

WHO WE ARE
The Rural Film Company is a small family business based in Northumberland. Our services are twofold. We provide a filming service at an affordable price and we also sell film productions relating to the rural way of life which can be anything from gundog training, game shooting, clay shooting, game and poultry rearing, rabbit and guinea pig care to Aberdeen Angus breeding and showing. The films we sell - the emphasis is on providing films that people will find informative, interesting and that reflect the rural way of life.
We pride ourselves on being an affordable, friendly, family business who understands the pressures and constraints of living in the rural environment.
